As a think tank, it formulates and promotes conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense. The Heritage Foundation offers policies and perspectives on every major issue that's important to conservatives. The organization represents more than a million members and supporters across the US and is the legacy of Ronald Reagan's Private Sector Survey on Cost Control, also known as the Grace Commission.
